STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove will not start, first check if the stove power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the oven is plugged in and the pilot light is lit, then a different part will have to be fixed. The reason for the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not produce heat won’t do much. Your oven won’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner won’t fire up when an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these problems in less than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It is safe to assume the control board on a stove is broken if the timer or program settings aren’t working. OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen are able to find the location of the problem and fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter glows but will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we can fix these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door doesn’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door won’t open and then complete the necessary repair so we can resolve the issue.
